- Do I have root access to my VPS?
Yes, You have FULL root access to your VPS. You can modify any file on your VPS.
- Can I upgrade my vps?
Sure! Simply put in a ticket to our sales queue and we will be more than happy to assist you.
- What are your payment methods?
We currently support any major visa/mc/amex/discover credit card
- How long does it take to setup a VPS?
Orders are processed daily. Most orders are setup within a few hours if all fraud verifications pass.
- Does the grid ever need to go down for maintenace?
The grid is designed for single server operation. Should a maintenance issue arise that would require the grid to be temporarily inaccessible all customers will be advised of the maintenance window.
- Do you create backups?
Yes, our entire grid is backed up nightly.
- What type of network speeds can I expect?
All servers are connected to 100mbit switches with gigabit uplinks. We obtain peering from Mzima, Xeex, Level3 and Hurricane Electric.
- Do you own your equipment or lease?
All of our equipment is owned. We do not lease any of our equipment. The VPS Grid is complex, and requires us to have full control of our equipment. Dedicated servers and leases simply were not a feasable option for us.
- Do you support APF/CSF?
Yes, APF and CSF is supported.
- Is IRC content permitted? Can I run an IRC chat server?
No. Any bots, or IRC servers, bouncers are strictly prohibited, and will result in account termination.
- Can I reload my OS?
Yes, you can reload your OS at any time from within the Power Panel.
- Are your VPS accounts managed?
Yes, our VPS accounts are managed as long as they have a control panel such as Plesk, cPanel or DirectAdmin installed. Keep in mind we will only update and support software and applications that affect the entire vps and OS (or installed by the control panel). For example, if you would like a new module added to Apache for your vps or install APF/CSF. We will not install custom scripts/software such as (but not limited to) WordPress.
- Do you offer some kind of billing software?
Yes, you have the option to add Clientexec (www.clientexec.com) for $5/month. Please email our sales department for more information.
- Do you offer telephone support?
We do not offer telephone support. It simply is not the best way to communicate any error messages, copy/paste IP addresses, or escalate issues to system admins. Our trouble ticket system is monitored 24/7 every day of the year (including holidays). Most of our tickets are answered within 10-15 minutes.
